Favorite Eating fish

So I just read backin post and didn't want to hijack it, so real simply what's everybodies favorite fish to eat from fresh water, salt water there are to many options.
 
I love to fish for trout, but not the biggest fan of eating them, maybe I will keep a laker in the winter, but thats it.
 
For me I strap on the feed bag in winter when I go after perch, right perchy, walleye is second, and maybe smelt third.

Perch, Crappie, Walleye (don't forget the cheeks)  Definitely the Holy Trinity of eating fish.  Never had smelt though.. i hear they just fry em up whole... is that the deal?

jk, I would have to say fresh yellow perch deep fried as seen in Dans surfand turf pic...walleye same way cooked( walleye to me is a softer flakier meat somewhat forks off like fried smallmouth but much more delicate meat.. Crappie, bluegills, white and yellow perch smallmouth largemouth all a terrific none fishy tasting meat when caught from class A waters.. although brook trout has a different taste altogether, it is up there too on the list of least fishiness tasting for freshwater. I savior the pan fried light crispy battered skin on! bullheads are good from clean waters .. the thing with larger lake trout browns bows even landlocks is they get oily and in some cases can get down right fishy from what that feed on. Sawbellies imho attribute to the strong oily taste of these larger salmonoids. I release most..probably 95% and don't bothe keeping any(over 2-3lbs) from the lakes.. As for the river trout, they tend to be less oily tasting largely in part of their diet of insects. Fish are what they eat imo..as a matter of fact,I prefer the taste of stockies over the natives in the rivers. Perch are my favorite eating freshwater fish.. Best way I learned to preserve to fresh taste if you are going to have to freeze perch fillets is to freeze them in ziplocked bags of water. I made the mistake of freezing them in ziplocks without water and they never taste as fresh when thawed and cooked.

My favorite fish to eat are cows, elk and deer (but moose is great too!)...
 
Ground up, grilled, and topped with cheese...

Otherwise- bluegills, I guess.  Perch Inc. has surely "shown me the light".

Pompano
Perch
Walleye
Spots
Flounder or Fluke
Black Drum
Sea Bass

Favorite fish to eat from a store or restaurant:
Sushi-almost anything except large roe
Haddock fish fry
Smoked salmon
Rare tuna steak
Shark steak
Swordfish
Halibut

Most others are on my OK list
EXCEPT CATFISH I HATE THE DARK OILY MEAT
Deep frying or pan frying only makes it worse 

For flavor I have to say 1 Gills 2 walleye 3 crappie 4 catfish (fresh caught never store bought)
Smelt? oh man I bought a frozen bag of smelt for food for my aquarium last year and was reading the bag about cookin instructions, so I thought hmmm and fired a big bag full of them and ate them all tasted great..... but dam I tasted those smelt for a whole week! not sure I could eat them again.

hmmm. im a sucker for real thick white perch fillets myself. its some of the flakiest and least fishy meat ive encountered. second is striped bass ( on the smaller side ). third would be the broad range of pannies ( gills, yellows, crappie ). Fresh landlockeds are also right on up there.
