I pounded those doves today

Man, I took a stab in the wind today and went to a field I didnt scout and man am I glad I did. I plowed a limit of doves in 3 hours. Would have been a lot sooner but I figured Id take this young dog with me, big mistake taking a hyper young dog dove hunting. She cost me a lot of shooting, as soon as Id pull the gun up she would be blazing out across the field. It will be quite awhile till she see's a dove field again, needs to calm down a little bit. She did get 3 birds out of 12, not bad for the first time the dog actually hunted I guess. Shotgun didnt bother her one bit.

Be patiant Jeremy. That is exactly what your dog needs. Took mine for her first hunt and she did the same thing. But now (2yrs) old she is a darn good hunter. Let her have fun. Then the training begins. You will be rewarded.
