Staying in and watching fottball is my plan this weekend along with some drinking.  havent found any birds yet that I cn pin point.  All the usual fields they go to are not holding any geese.  But the river is where they are roosting at night but they dont come back to the river until after legal shooting hours.

So its a drinking weekend this weekend and hopefully next week I can find some birds in the fields.

Where you from Ax, im from the saltsburg area by beaver run. We have a good population of geese &duck. It will be pretty good shooting now but it really gets good in the winter the lake on the property doesnt freeze over and its about the only place they can land, if your interested shoot me a e-mail....

Nothing this morning. People set up in field ahead of us and did all the blasting.

Was fishing at pypy today and it was clearly posted at the launch that early season would begin day after Labor Day and there were alot of hunters on the lake. There were 2 guys on a orange pontoon boat that drove up to a flock a wacked 2 geese. I couldn't believe it.

As long as there forward motion is stopped it is legal. Me, i prefer to whack them out of the air, like to hear the thump when they hit.
Went out this morning and only saw one small flock. Giving it a break till the weather gets better.
