Best Fish Photo Ever?

Well, it's no secret around here that many of us enjoy our fair share of 'Fish Porn' and the advent of digital photography has made killer fishing photos available to the masses.

So here's a question for you, and I know it is a tough one:

What's your favorite fishing photo?

I've got tons myself, but some just stand out.  Here is a thread for the ONE photo of a fish/fishing event that stands out in your mind.

Of course, I will start.  This photo is my favorite, and it wasn't even my fish.  This one brown trout has had me addicted to BIG fall Browns ever since my buddy Pete landed it on a tiny #18 hare's ear with a spey rod on Oak Orchard in October of 2005.

It's hard to narrow down ONE favorite photo, but this is it:

So what do you guys have stashed in the archives?

Let's keep it to ONE favorite fishing photo and see what comes about.  Perhaps there miay be a story behind the photo you would like to tell so let 'er rip.  (heck, EVERY good fishing picture has a story, right?)

Think it over, and toss up your FAVORITE fishing photo here.

"I love fishing. You put that line in the water and you don't know what's on the other end. Your imagination is under there" -Robert Altman

Well no fish in this pic but this is pretty much my favorite type of fishing.

I can't think of anything place else i would rather be 1st thing in the am than chucking top water over some pads in search of big largemouths.

Might not be a great pic but this is what i think of when i'm working LOL !

Jimmy you had me looking through 300+ pics !!
I have a few other that always stand out in my mind, but we will keep it to just one.

Here is one of my favorites from a couple winters ago. Just seems to remind me that fishing isn't all about the fish.

Boy, what about that 1 pic ?? They all look great and Brian you got my vote for reasons of sticking with the 1 photo and the picture is great !!

I have hundreds and most all are of better quality or better pictures of fish but this was almost an easy pick for me. My favorite pictures are from early years and low quality film but I pulled this off my wall because it just stood out as the 1.
    It is a film picture.

    My fathers last steelhead.

Now THATS what I am talking about, Tuna!  SWEEEET!

I guess I should have never expected people to actually post one photo, but it was worth a shot.  I knew the second I posted this that more than a few of these guys would rattle off a few dozen or so   Lord knows it'll turn into a post-fest, and we'll all be tossing up every photo we own that has a gill or a fin in it.

The key is to find the ONE that means the most.  The rest can be used to decorate your living room walls, like at my house   "Chicks and Fish" is sort of the theme at my house, I guess.

Brian's photo is killer- as I mentioned, sometimes it's not about the FISH at all...

Keep 'em coming if you've got a favorite to toss up here.  Obviously, we've all got a few HUNDRED fishing photos but it is fun to dial-in to the one photo that sums up your idea of 'fishing' the best.

All of these photos here are great...  It's especially nice to finally see HLS's lil' angler...  How awesome, man!

    Great photos dudes.

    A+ on effort...

D- on following directions...  (but Brian and Tuna get gold stars!)

I've said it before , but catching fish is just a bonus  I love just being out there !!

Ahhhhh man i was shooting for a gold star AND a smiley face , next time i guess LOL

    Yes great pics everybody !!!!

I sure wouldn't call it 'porn' when it includes my fishin' buddies, but this sums up the hardwater season:

As for actual FISH, I always liked this head shot of a pike from Owasco Lake out in CNY last Spring:

Thats just to cool! forgive the pun, but being able to just walk out there and make a hole at your feet and fish has got to be fun, especially with you guys. hope to make some of my own ice pick with you guys this year.
