ELK HUNTS

We are looking to go on a elk hunt somewhere in the next two years.I was wondering if anybody know of any good guides?

    contact state agencies of where u want to go. they can provide you with good reputable guides.

    What state are you looking for i went to Meeker Colorado last november we had a very good guide put us on the elk all week but due to bad shots  didnt get one but the guide service i went with was  James Creek Outfitters if you would like any more information pm me and ill hook you up.

    Book tru cabelas you can't go wrong thay only book with places they have checked out them selves i have used them before and was very happy good luck check them out

    Did my two DIY (unguided) great hunts, filled a tag each time. Trips were less than $1200 including travel tags & room & board.

    Better too far back, than too far forward.

    How do i go about finding a spot if we do a DIY hunt?What would be are success rate be?Are these spot heavily hunted? Also would it be worth trying to get a mule deer license also?
