My date for last evening

Got into a nice kittycat last evening on the Mohawk, my biggest one so far. Pretty sure it's a channel cat, although this one was grey and usually they're green.  Maybe the juveniles are green and they get greyer with age?  Anyway she was 27" long and  about 18" girth...  that should put her around 13 lbs.
She's a great kisser also and didn't smell as bad as the chick from the Troy Dam.

I thought for sure that after the Federal Dam Ho Debacle that this thread was going to be much different...

    Nice fish though, Yank!

At first I thought the shirt said "MAIL" and "US"...  Now I realize it says Maine...

But still, that would be some awesome dedication, Brother!

Watch out boys- Yank is on a hot streak...  I knew this year the "sleeping giant" would be awoken and he'd shake off the SNYDERS CURSE of the last two gatherings.  If I were a handicapper, I'd be closing the odds on that guy.

But then again, I had my money on IceFishingSteve during the Hardwater Throwdown, and we all know how that turned out...  Bring your woolies Gents, there is a frost warning in the 'Dacks tonight!

Haha Jimmy  no I'm too young to buyout...  15000 isnt much money.  I think I would be a longshot of Buster Douglasian proportions at the Snyderfest though.
PIKE   wink wink on the spot... was hoping you'd show up there... was there 630-8. **** soccer minivans galore now, tough parking.  I solved the problem I had with losing bait.... white thread.  I wad up some pizza dough and ball it on the hook, then wrap it up like a yarn ball. Stays on the hook nice.  I'm sure this is something you guys thought of years ago but I'm new to fishing with yeast.

How are the weeds over at that spot this year? Is that old boat still buried in the woods?

I actually used to live about 200 yards away from there.

RED  the weeds aren't bad at all... theres some near the shoreline but they don't go out too far, and are sparse enough out there it seems. Easy to cast beyond them.
