peeps

You guys like tubeless or tubed?

I just got a G5 metapeep .25". This is the first time i've used a tubeless peep. My bow has a pretty good string on it (ABB), and the peep doesnt seem to want to twist after a couple hundred shots. Anyone have good/bad experiences with this kind of peep?

I don't know what kind or size peep I use but it twisted out of line with I first got it.  Been good since.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

Same here tubeless all the way. Buddy has been using the meta peep and loves it. I have one on my alphamax (.25") and no complaints here. Hasn't wanted to twist out yet.

Go tubeless.  You might have some initial tweeking to get things lined up right but from then on out you are golden.

Several years back, I went full draw on this really beautiful, thick, 8 pt with alot of mass.  Had been hunting him all season long and here he comes down the trail in front of me at 12 yards.  I draw back, set the pin and when I'm about ready to hit the release I hear this "THAAAAAANNG".  It's all happening so fast so I don't know what it is, but now I can't see out of my peep it's going sideways.  Here the tube pulled out of where it connects to the peep.  Right then, right at the exact time I didn't want it to.  It's almost too unbelievable to be true but it really happened.

I lined it up best I could but shot ahead of and below the buck.  He jumped several feet, looked around like what was that? and wandered off never to give me a shot in that final week of bow season.  Honest injun, I can't make this up if I tried.

Best I can tell when I was walking in the tube must have gotten caught on some brush because I was hunting an area that had been previously logged and was coming back in thick re-growth.  Must have been enough to weaken the connection.

So go tubless.  minimize your risk of the tube doing something weird at the wrong time.
