Drunkin shiners!

Well No need to say it everyone knows how hot it was today. Sittin on the water, dead calm, no breeze and no fish. I had a little flask with some scotch in it and lookin at the bait bucket the shiners where lookin bad so I just poured a little scotch on them and you wouldn't believe it! that did the trick! i casted one out and BAM!!! brought in a 3 lb bass.....

That shinner had him by the back of the neck and wouldn't let go till I gave him some more scotch go figure

Yea I fish kensico for bass and lakers, although I havent been there since 911.
I fish Titicus, which is great fishin I have a boat on waiting list there. then Muskoot res and Croton. all from bank though. Used to get some realy good LMB and lakers at Kensico till my nephew run off with my john boat from there and then 911 happened so I havent been back......yet.

I have read about some of the monster lakers, browns & the occasional striper in those places. Not to mention the lm & sm bass !! I have never been down to any of them but frequent another fishing site where there's a lot of bass fishermen down there. I have boat on the Ashokan , still haven't chased trout there , just the crazy smallies.

Yea I had a couple drunk enough I didnt even put them on a hook, they just dove in and retrieved the bass for me.

Yea Brian I will have another boat on one of the good ones this coming spring and there will be an open invite for you or any of this group to join me or use it when i'm not.
