I have a decent camera now

Bought a Nikon a couple weeks ago, made sure it had a macro. I remember someone asking for tutorials. I will TRY to do one a week, if there is that much of a request. You guys vote every week for what you wanna see and provided I have the materials I will do it. In fact pick TWO just incase I dont have all the stuff. I do have quite a bit of materials though, about the only thing that would throw me a curve is salmon flies, I dont have those materials. But... ask and you shall recieve. I will NOT do the skien fly, sorry!

I thought that was a Donny Beaver dogfood fly. It matches the purina hatch that happens on his water. How bout you demonstrate that one J!

    So I have
    Dave - Chernobyl Ant

    Skip - A Brookie Dry

Anyone care to sway a certain way and eaither vote for the ant or the dry.

A good brookie dry would be something like(Royal Wulff, Adams, Cahil, Caddis)

For me a good brookie fly is something that floats like a cork! They arent super picky, they cant be.

I can do the stone fly nymph. Although Ive seen a few other guys on here who do some pretty wicked stones. Anyone feel free to chime in and do that one, if not Ill do it. Id like to see all of us who tie contribute to this. I will do as many as is asked but it may be slightly spaced out in time. I am VERY busy. Im working 40 hrs, starting my own business and running the show for flyfishersparadise.com now. Add to that I have a family, an old house, a young gun dog... you get the point. As soon as I get the adams out if someone else doesnt want to do the stone, I will.

BTW: I will be hosting the tutorials on my server, or video on youtube. I just want to make sure that we have a place to keep everything consolidated. I will create a page for tutorials, it may be a little rigid at first untill i have time to do some design but it will work. If you have a tutorial you want to add, when i get the page up(this weekend) you can email me and ill add it to the site.

I would love to contribute to flytying tutorials, it is just my inexperience would not benefit anybody on this forum.  I only know how to tie some of the easier patterns, sucker spawn, dubbing and pheasant tail bead heads etc...   I have very little to no knowledge of dry patterns. So I dont think my contributions would be fruitful.

I tried the video thing tonight guys, yeah its not going to work. To get quality I had to be to far out from the fly. Information would have been great but visually, my camcorder just isnt good enough for that fine of detail at that zoom level.

They will all be photos, sorry i tried.

Inuk... anyone can contribute anything they know. Doesnt have to be dries, guys that know dries will do dries. Do what you can contribute what you can. I do ask you save me as much time as possible.

    I will need...

Your Photos(not hosted somewhere, in the event the site stops hosting) - step by step with corrisponding instructions of what you are doing.

    The material list.

All of this in a microsoft word document would be great, it allows me to pull the stuff out very fast.

Please wait till I have the actual site established before sending me anything.

I will show the format of what I would like from you in my tutorial that I will post this weekend. Feel free to get some ready, you will be given credit for the tutorial on the page.

I do have my own forum, I may decide to drop it into that with a special category(forum) that only I can write too, just to get this going and for it to be as fast as possible... if your wondering, i am not a fishusa competitor, I offer web design services for outdoor companies. . My site is new and I dont have forum traffic, its open to read without anyone actually signing up so if you only use it for that, thats fine by me. Its a free service that I am giving out. Without selling any physical products. Actually my site isnt even finished, i just got the forum done, I havent even opened the actual site to the public to view yet.

I wouldnt be opposed to fishusa opening another forum and giving me the ability to write html. I wont abuse it. I would then put the tutorials here. I know the availbilty of that IS possible, Im running the exact same forum on my site, at least it looks 100% similar.

FishUsa... let me know if you are interested. I am not trying to take away from this site at all.

Ray,I thought those flys were real bugs when I first saw them, then I saw the hooks! But you're right, too much time.I guess if you do it for a living you can take the time, but what do you charge for something like that?
