Fishin with Kermit

Anyone else having a good year with rubber frogs? I'm having a blast....they seen to be keying in on them this year. There is a cool one called a Sizmic Floating Frog, that has a built in popper shape on the head of the soft plastic frog, with kicker legs....you just cast it....leave it sit till the rings are gone....pop it.....and WHAM....what a blast!...

I am looking for a lake that has some lily pads, I think I would like to throw a weedless frog lure I bought earlier in the year. Thought that would be interesting to see

I think sismic makes other colors, there are several different brands.  Strike King Ragetail Rage toads are my favorite, they are a little more dense/heavier and cast farther. Make tons of noise, like a buzz bait, if you get the ragetail brand be sure to pull the end of the kicker feet away from the body, they come molded to the body for some reason.

CDS sports by the Grove City outlets has them...I picked some more up yesterday. I should buy them by the case, I've been going through a lot of them. I'm really hooked on the topwater bite.

If you are familiar with Pymatuning , head towards the Spillway . If you are approaching from SR 285 , there will be an area just before the Spillway on the left with tons of lilly pads . You'll easily see the road for access . Lots of bass , but you'll need heavy line . Good chance for a bonus musky also !At this time of year it is difficult to fish , but I don't mind . For some reason , very few people fish . I guess the lilly pads scare them off . If you go you could find other places around the lake as well if that doesn't work for you . This shouldn't be viewed as giving away someone's "secret " spot as the place is easily seen from the main road . Good Luck !
