No but I have bouts of imsomnia so I'll be rarin' to go about 12am so... I'll put up picks of the zoo cougar next. I'm gonna try the both the articulated and the single hook versions. I did another dungeon but the deer hair gave me fits agian. I have alot of prob. with deer hair but I'm workin through it. I gota to try his "But Monkey' articulated streamer.

I think this predatory trout tactic with the big streamers and fast line strips could do some good up on the erie tribs during steel season. I know im gonna find out.

I got 2 "Zoo Cougars" tyed up on size 4-4x long, 1x strong hook.
It makes a good sculpin or goby imitation

Pretty easy to tye but I havent tyed the articulated version yet. I need to find bigger mallard flank feathers for them. At least 3 1/2 inch feathers for the "wing". Or maybe do articulated spun deer hair head for 1st section and articulate from the collar back. I dont' know Im gonna have to mess with it a bit.

Hey thanks, its always nice to get some encouragement. I'm definitely will need to use a full sinking line, there gonna ride real high. But, I figure they'll be fun to fish this fall. If you're gonin' try 'em word to the wise get a lotta gel spun and a lotta super glue. There really a pretty easy tye. If you have any questions drop me a line.

Never had any issues with fouling of the hooks, or damage to the fish.

There are two types of fish that will take the fly. Tail biters that are generally too small to eat the whole fly or aren't aggressive enough. And fish that inhale the whole fly head first. I've landed many 24"+ brown trout that have only came up and nipped the tail.

It's all personal preference, and when I fish streamers, I'm generally after big fish. So I don't like to waste hours of fishing only to miss a bigun' because of something as simple as leaving a hook point on.

Looks like a good pattern to me!

I spun two articulated cougars up, 1 weighted and 1 not. The unweighted swam in a "s" shape. The weighted just jigged up and down when you stripped it. I'm gonna tie both the unweighted and weighted. But with the unweighted I'll have to use a sink tip or a full sink line. I tried a full sink line with the unweighted fly and the action was great. Useing the sink tip the fly got lift everytime I stripped the line. It kinda chased the the floating portion up. Thats gonna be a problem in deeper runs.

I weighted the back portion of the shank on 1 of the "Cougars". I have used a tungston bead on conection when I tie my "Dungeons" I'll have to try that method. It's not a problem fishing them unweight if I have a sink tip or full sink line, as long as I dont crack myself in the head while I'm casting.

Weighting them is always a good choice. The bigger profile makes them a son of a B to sink. Even with lead eyes and lead wraps over the body.

What rate sinking tip did you try on it?

If you are only fishing them on Erie streams, a Type 6 sink tip always kept me in the zone when I was in "steelhead streamer water." Now I carry the 9' Poly leaders in different sink rates. They make it convenient to change sink rates between holes throughout the day.
