NY fishing license

I've never done this before but I'm trying to purchase a NY State non-resident license online. But it says you have to be known to the DECAL's system... is there any way to do this or will I just have to get one at a local bait shop when I get there this coming weekend.

Thanks.... sounds like you need 7-10 days to get it in the mail anyways. I thought you could just print one out. Anyhow... I'll just get the 7day NR when I get up there.

Thanks! Prices go up for NY for next year also... 7 day NR goes from $25 to $35

I agree, but it's a pretty large increase all at once.

I don't recall ever being asked for the number. Once they got your name and addy, you should be good to go.

From what I read I think you do need it though if you want to buy it online in the future.
