cowans gap

does anybody have any on cowans gap state park? I am planning on going there soon

    Wish I could help. There's a certain State Park I've been yearning to visit myself. I know those big Stones are aloft about now. I never got to fish that hatch before.

    I've spent a lot of time at Cowan's Gap. You can fish the Aughwick above and below the lake. The West branch of the Conococheague is down the mountain, along Rte. 75 from Willow Hill exit on the PA Turnpike to Fort Loudon at Rte. 30. There is a very nice DHALO on Big Cove Creek outside of McConnellsburg, South on Rte. 522 (turn left at Big Cove Tannery). I was at that project on Tuesday, got 9. The water is nice. We used to rent cabins above the beach area at the Park. I have tent camped, and stayed in the State cabins. Cowan's Gap is a beautiful park. There are numerous stocked trout streams within short drives of the park.
