Walleye Fishing 2009

Anybody make the maiden voyage yet for early season walleye fishing on the big pond?

Just curious as I haven't heard many reports coming in, so I figure we are still probably a few weeks away from prime time.  Anybody know what the water temperature in the Lake is?

I've been feeling the itch to get out here on the PA side and try for some early season eyes.   Considering coming up June 13th or 14th.  If I cannot connect on some eyes, at least there is always perch, and might be able to catch the last of the good smallmouth bite...

Made 3 outings so far.  Finaly got the skunk off the boat last night with the first fish of the season and on the new boat.  Still looks like mostly a night bite for now.  Prime time should only be a week or two off.  Water temp last night was in the upper 50's.

Got a couple out of Northeast.  Slow going so far.  Shouldn't be long now.

I'll be up on the 13th giving it my best to get a few, weather permitting. Even if I dont get any it is still nice to get out on the water.

Fished 12 times so far between day and night trollig at have landed at least one walleye every time out. The day bite is still slow. The best we have done on my boat is 5 landed one night and a few lost.
