sharpsville crappies

has anyone else noticed that the shoreline bite is down a little this year,, fish a couple areas that really produced the last few years, but much lees this one,, did well a few weeks back,,, boat in shop,, got a feeling the nicer fish are a little deeper. any thoughts on this and or spawning factors right now,..thanx s..
ps/ catching some undersized walleys fishing for crappies,, a good sign,,crushed em at pymy at night,but not one sub legal,

    I've caught and seen (yes for once its that clear) a lot of bluegills up shallow this year, but similar to you I've only caught crappies in 8 ft+ so far.

    caught over 100 crappies this weekend all in 10 to 12 foot of water trolling for them

    I caught 50 in 3ft. on Friday.
