Well, I didn't get the Avid on ebay, but it looks like a local shop in PGH has a pretty good deal on it.

the avid is a great rod i have a 6' 3wt and its a fantastic small stream rod.  only draw back is only being 6' long is it does not roll cast as well as longer rods.  but it does well enough in the small stream environment it's intended for.  but i don't hesitate to take it out on larger waters like the neshanock or slippery rock.  it casts  a dry to 50' with ease, weight nymphs and streamers are harder to get that far but if i'm planing to fish streamers i got to the 5wt.  that's what they make dual rod cases for.
