Big Trouble

I too was disappointed with the poor ticket sales .  With all the effort Scott put into it I am sure he is disappointed more than any of us ..(Though he won't admit it)  Thats just the kind of guy Scott is

There were quite a few on this board that said they would step up when the time came and buy a ticket  Some Did Some didn't...  You won't see me insulting the ones that didn't because they had reasons..  Were e they good reasons ??  Only they will know..

All you will see on here form me is PRAISE....  Praise to Scott and to all who helped in this endeavor to help a member of this community's Family after a great loss...

All in all I would say the Raffle turned out Great...  Any better it would have been AWESOME...  I'm sure Lori will appreciate the donation Scott will send her in a few days

Thanks Scott for doing the right thing....

Thanks to all who donated the Items being raffled off today..

Thanks to all who purchased a ticket or Tickets

Thanks Dan for allowing this to take place on his boards

Thanks to Poor Richards both East and west for selling some tickets...

The drawing is complete and now I'm stuck with a problem that will work itself out over the next few days.  We have winners that are non-board members and I also have board members that bought tickets without giving me their screen name.  We also have tickets with incomplete addresses or no phone numbers for contact.  I have most pretty well figured out but there are two tickets that may be a bit of a problem.  One I'm sure I can get the needed information the other I have a complete address and with no phone number for verification.  The toughest ticket is a fly selection and I would feel pretty good about shipping that to the address provided without a phone call to verify. I will publish screen names that I know tonight and I will fill in the rest as I get in contact with the other winners.  Being 2007, I will only publish screen names and real names of those that give permission to do so.

The number indicates the prize won.

T.T.,
Did you see who won the bamboo rod?   I'm believing that the boo was the 4th prize since it was listed 4th.  The man is a bamboo magnet.   Congratulations to all who won and a special thanks to Scott (CR500) for doing something so worthy and so giving.

I hope you are ready to repair another rod....  I am a bamboo magnet, but I have a history of breaking them...  I can't wait to hit the stream with the boo.

Scott-- Two whole raisin pies for you, brother! Your unselfish hard work in getting this project started and completed is truly righteous.
To all who took part by donating gifts and buy tickets two x-tra pieces of raisin pie for supporting this noble effort and being a real F.O.T.
My fingers' are shakin' as I type this 'cause, I finally sold a winning ticket to one of my buddies (or myself, Please God let it be me! LOL).
To Lori and her sons, God Bless you all and keep you safe.
Keep on, keepin' on!

This is the kind of thing where you're happy if you win, but satisfied if you don't because you know the money is going somewhere good.

Scott you did a great job setting up and running this raffle. I thank you.
On top of that you provided some sweet, sweet custom rods to some very fortunate winners. Thank you again.
And to all you other folks who donated rods and flies and other items. A big thank you.
And finally to who ever donated the chest pack and the wooden fly box I WON  a REALLY BIG thank you.
Now that my back surgery is healed (mostly) I hope to get to fish with some of you fine folks.

It is nice to have won a prize, but the giving/supporting is what's important to me.
Thanks Scott for your fine work. I hope the spirit that moved us will continue.

RE: Raffle for Terry 2007/11/16 14:47:36 (permalink)
Guys,

Thanks for the kind words but they really aren’t necessary.  Long before the raffle this whole thing started out as a fishing trip to the shore with “T” and a bunch of board members, when “T” got sick that was out and then we went to building him a pair of rods that would fit his needs.  In the end we ended up with a raffle.  Somehow my name got tagged with this thing and that just isn’t true.  There is one guy that specifically asked to have his name withheld since some board members really gave him a hard time.  Several hundred dollars worth of stuff donated and he also kept to the background to help keep the project on the right track.  He was far from the only person that is in the background and I won’t even try to mention them all.

I appreciate everyone’s good intentions but if there is to be praise, congratulations or awards, I think the proper place to direct all of those thoughts is to “All members of the “T” Project”.

Thanks again for the kind thoughts and words but I’m pretty sure that “All members of the “T” Project” is the proper group/person that should be thanked for the effort.

Scott
