Nymph Skin Caddis Tutorial

O.K. here we go....

Materials:
8/0 Thread
Any size caddis hook and bead
Abdomin-Caddis Green "Nymph Stretch Skin" w/ flash accent
Shuck-White "Glo Bug Micro Bling"
Head- Any color all purpose dubbing

Step 1: Thread hook and tie in flash material.



Step 2: Tie in Nymph Stretch Skin..



Step 3: Wrap Nymph Stretch Skin around hook shank to create the abdomin. Be sure to but som tension on it as you wrap.



Step 4: Tie off Nymph Stretch Skin and trim.



Step 5: Tie in a piece of white glo bug micro bling (or any other sub) and form a loop with it, this will form the shuck. Tie off and trim.





Step 6: Apply dubbing wax and dubbing to your tread and wrap around the shank creating the head. Tie of and Trim.





Finished Fly........



May the holes in your net be no larger than the fish in it.

    That is sweet. Need to tye me a ton of those.
    Lost at least ten bows yesterday using one like that.
    Too fast of current and they would pull off.

    Very nice Sculpin......  Heading out 4 the weekend (north central bound to some less crowded areas)in about an hour...  I will def. be using your fly from the swap and as soon as I can get my hands on some of that stretch nymph skin I will be tying up a few more....
