First Day Success

Well I ended up getting lucky on the first day. Ended up with 22 including this 23.75" 6 lb. 3 oz. golden rainbow. How'd everyone else do?

    Congrats - I am usually not one for golden's but that is a real pretty fish. 
     
    Where were you fishing - looks like nice colred conditions. 
     
    As for me, I could care less about opening day, in fact, that is one day a year that i usually DON'T fish...:)

    Quittapahilla Creek......I'm not too big on the first day myself. Way too many people. It amazes me how fewer fishermen there are only a week later.

    Yeah, I guess a lot of guys are opening weekend and done. The best fishing comes in May and June, imo.

    rjc, that's a real nice fish!! i got a 22" on the wall but not nearly as fat as the one you got.  ~dt

    2Bonthewater,that's why they call them pelletheads!LOL
    I fished one hour and caught one 9" rainbow before the wind sent me home,have n't been out again.Going to try for some Ohio steel next week and then maybe a trip to the SR at end of month,can you get away for a couple days?E-mail me.
