I got alot of birds lined up but that don't mean you're going to kill them the first day. There is alot of things that could go wrong. If you think there is guy that can call a bird in everytime they go out then you are thinking wrong.I watched zink's 24/7 turkey time it took those guys ten days to get there first bird and they're pros. Also steelie try not to hunt spots where you can see them from the roads i called these guys community turkeys.

if you can see them from the road, so can every other person driving that road and there is a billion lazy so called hunters out there that just look for birds like that to hunt. alot of those birds are harder to hunt cause of guys will go there and practice their calling pre season cause they know the birds are there. i do alot of pre season scouting each year. sometimes i kill the first one at the first spot. sometimes i kill the fifth bird at the fifth spot, but out of the last 10 years there are only 2 birds i didnt kill on the first day.

I have a rogues gallery of suspects lined up. Hopefully, they will cooperate. Or, at least one of them.

Have found a couple birds and will try to help some young hunters the first week, can not go out for youth hunt.  But the one I am after will not get to go after until the second weekend.  This one is so far into the woods it will take me almost an hour biking in the dark, don't have to worry about any one else chasing this bird, found it the other day on my mountain bike.
Have gotten birds back here before and know that no one else is ever in this area, need the right weather and nothing going on Friday night so I can get up early enough, drive there (over an hour away) and bike in.  Normally do not hunt this spot for a goggler but this year, he is finally a monster.

Good luck out there and be safe.

I love to hunt high pressure birds that are seen by everybody, just not the first day! The last week of the season, the biggest birds die, clucks and purrs.
