Manatawny Creek

The Covered Bridge on Covered Bridge Road is posted on both sides of the stream........the PFBC stocked the bridge, then the signs went up........

Contact PFBC........was told, they have nobody to go and take care of the matter now.......and that the Regional Supervisor will be there Saturday morning........can't wait to see how that goes..........

Also, all along Manatawny Road--more importantly upstream and downstream of the Tiki Bar.......the township purchased all the properties with grant money......they were to put in a playground and make access easier for anglers........to make the area a recreational area..........this has not happened.......the township created one parking lot that fits 2 vehicles........if you put 3 vehicles in it--nobody will be able to get out.....they put log posts all along the roadside so you can't park alongside the road.........how the hell is this making it a recreational area....I have spoken with the PFBC.......and it seems nothing has been done.......so.......they stocked plenty of fish in these areas........and now, there will be little to no parking available..........

And the creek is hardly posted with PFBC fishing permitted signs and or approved trout water posters.......most of it is in private hands.......the posters have either been torn down or fell down.........either way....this stream is horribly posted..............

Couldn't resist that one. But it sucks about the limited access everywhere now it seems.

A little land owner appreciation goes a long long way...........I spent many a winter hour speaking with landowners on this creek......seems, since I have retired--nobody has spoken to anyone..........what a sad sad joke that is

Well said. I make it a point to get to know the landowners on the stream I fish most often. All have been great to talk with. Wouldn't hurt if people could pick up after themselves, either!

that's probably the biggest problem........litter........and also, most, but not all anglers could care less about who owns the land.......all they know is that they want to catch fish.........which is fine.......folks just need to understand that the landowner owes nobody nothing...........and that they are fishing there because the landowner is either a fisherman..........or understands that this is just how it has always been........either his grandfather owned the property and allowed fishing.......or his father owned the property and allowed fishing........but all that goes away when people become disrespectful..........
