what are you going for ? salmon /lakers/ eyes/ steelhead
if steel head 10lb test ,if salmon go with a 16 to 20 floro lots of rocks you will be jiggin off, i have went doen to 12lb for salmon but alot of break offs ,8 lb wow lots of hook ups but only say 2% landed
waters fast have a good batt to keep you streight drift and trooling motor ready if you fish the upper drift you will need to start up by the overhead wire if you new and taxie back to the top of the drift some peeps leave the motor run but most will use ele, the lower drift less effort, less danger, and the sand bar well that is a critter all by itself hope this sheds some light
