Okuma Aventa Float Rods

Has anyone used Okuma Aventa Float Rods yet? I saw it on cabelas site and was wondering if was a good one. the 15'6 ft one.

    i know a kid that has one.  he likes it, for the cheap price i don't see anything wrong with that.

    15' 6" is too big for anywhere in PA though.

    Sounds like it would be a good Yough River rod.  There's some places there that I wish I had a 17'.

    big water......longer drifts, keep the line off the water better. Currently fish a 13', gonna build a 15' in the near future.

    I tried a 15' last winter and it was too long for me,why waste the time on a 15',build a 25' and you can float the entire river.

    If a 25' blank with the appropriate power and action was available (that also didn't weigh too much), I'd probably built it.  So far the longest float blank I've found is a Talon 17',  but I'm concerned that it's too heavy too.

    A friend of mine has a****Swan Custom 18 footer - 3 piece....not real heavy, but I think the rod was built by using various blanks to achieve the length....Its a sight to see that rod assembled!  Amazingly has little tip sag for a rod of that length.  I can't wait to see him use it.
