Where is there a cheap place to stay around the Maumee? Any campgrounds close to the river? I'm thinking I would like to give it a try in the next couple weeks on a week end.

Dont post anything about this on the main board or you may end up with a circus, like steelhead season in Pa.  That being said, it looks interesting.  How many do you catch on a good day?

The Maumee is the ORIGINAL circus, makes the PA streams looks like a beginners class compared to Maumee

Just don't get caught up in the fast jerking (snagging) first you will get fined and second if you actually fish the jigs you will catch some really nice fish, mostly jacks but they taste better anyways.

This year had more people than I have seen in the 8 years I have been going.  That said, it was awesome and we had a ball.  Can't wait until next year... Griff.
