first day

my dad just moved to daulphin county and he wants me to come down and fish with him first day. we have no clue on wher to do, anyone got any ideas? not looking to take anyones spot just really want to get some quality fishin in with my dad. thanks guys.

    pine creek, mahantango creek, schwaben creek, wiconisco (SP), clarks creek, stoney creek.......are all pretty good on opening day............I have not fished the opening morning of trout season in almost 8 years........can't wait.........!!!!

    well i fly fish but dad spins, we both fish bait early in the season,  i do want to find a nice place to fly fish down ther but also a good place for me and him to go on the first day.

    look in the PA fish commission book that you got with your license it will list all stocked streams by county. A good bet for first day would be stony creek from dauphin to above the gate on the state gamelands.

    Where in Dauphin county does he live?
    There are many good trout streams in Dauphin County but not all areas of each stream is stocked.
    A good way to learn the stocking locations is to go along on a pre-season stocking trips and help carry buckets of fish to the stream. The PFBC web site lists the dates and meeting places.
