Do gut piles scare deer ?

    I shot my most recent buck (an 8 pt, 3 years ago) when it paused to check out the guts from my dad's doe shot the week before.

    No, I shot deer and my son has shot deer close to gut piles,also shot a nice buck one year following a doe drag that I shot the day before.Two years again I shot a monster 9 pts on the first Wed. and my son shot a 9 pt on Thurs. from the same stand,so I'd say they don't bother them.
