hopefully the snow will hold off and the wind will pick up to blow it. Nothing worse than draggin in deep snow, like draggin a deer out of the woods.

Aside from the snow has the bite picked up any for Perch? I dont care if its a one man or a 10 man it still sucks to pull a shanty in deep snow.

Is anybody catching any crappie after dark anywhere on the city side of Presque Isle Bay? Would like to head out tonight for a little bit. Any info is appreciated.

Launched off the public dock 1/29/09 at 2:30 pm and headed out to the last marker bouy & went 200 yards past it. Wind was 15-20mph, snow varried on the way out from 3-6". T%hat was like walking in loose sand. Caught a wopper 3" emerald shiner & that was it. Had to secure the shed due to the wind. Don't think I will ever head out that far alone ever again. Was 7pm before I hit the shore. There were 3 other shantys out there with no one doing very good. Today we will hit the public dock and go about 50' from shore. Ice was 12" deep and it was very good ice.
