Lake Plesant

Anybody check the ice on Lake Pleasent? They just stocked it on Dec 5. LAst I was told that the crappie out there are huge.

    went passed a few days ago and it was all open water but the north end.
    It was 2 degrees here last night, now they are saying maybe 50 on Wednesday and rain
    Not good for making ice.

    Stopped by Lake Pleasant today 4 people fishing with 2 1\2" to 3" of ice. Maybe this weekend I'll give it a try, will feel better with 4" or 5" of ice.
     Can't wait for the bay to freeze over.

    Guys - I live right by the lake. I will check it out on thursday after work and post my finding on friday.

    Stopped by the lake on weds. night instead of tonite. I did'nt drill a hole, the ice looked like crap. A guy I spoke with said he was on 2-4 inches, half clear half garbage. I would wait, the weekend of the 17th and 18th could be alot better.

    I might try Eaton instead.

    Yeah, I think most people will be on Eaton this weekend, but next weekend should be good on Lake Pleasant and some spots on the bay in Erie. We got about a foot of snow last night so I hope this doesnt wreck Lake Pleasant's ice.

    Any word on the ice at Lake Pleasant? I have never ice fished there. I know the fishing is good at night in the non-winter months. What is the prefered bait and jig for the trout through the ice?

    took a drive by pleasant...12 huts on ice..about 1/2 way out

    fished it tonite..2 bites , threw everything i had at em, talked with a few guys that were leavin at the same time... same report.. oh ,and theres like 6 inches of snow on top of 3 inches of slush.
