Artificial Weeds?

Has anyone used these or heard anything about them. (Durability, which one works better, etc.)

I was thinking about buying either the Nature Vision Weed 'Ez or the ReelWeeds by LaDredge Outdoors.

Thanks
Justin

I seen them last year in infisherman. I did not want to pay what they were asking, i made my own went to walmart and to the craft section and got some garlin i had to look i got like 24 feet, then i got string, and 2 oz sinkers. Made 6 strings 4 foot each. Only really used them once, they seemed to work. I do not have much time with them but i felt it is useful tool to have. If you put them in 1 gallon freezer bag they do not take up much room.

Last season had the same idea. Tied some to my aqua view  cable  didnt work out as  I had hoped it would. Camera direction was hard to control because of current in the bay

Ya i was thinking about making my own.. just tie a weight to the bottom.. tie string to the top of the garland and a float up top. Seems liek it would work for cheaper. Tips?

i wish i had more tips to write for you but i have not used mine all that much (once). it does take some work to set them up so be sure you are staying where you are at. With as many holes as you will be drilling i wiated till the ice was at least 6-7 good inches. I have them packed in my buckets only when i go to places that i am unfamiliar, so i am not in search mode. i also have one on my underwater camera cord, i have not had a problem with current, i have made a stand that has a string go the rudder of the camera housing that keeps the camera straite, easliely turned and i can fine tune an angle of viewing
