there are some nice fish in French if you can find them. I've never fished anywhere other then where Woodcock meets. As a younger child I used to fish near the log cabin in Mdvl. Would catch the occasional eye (generally small) and caught a few catfish there in the deep holes. Generally hear ppl talk about good eye fishing near woodcock entry just south of the bridge, but never caught any. PM BassAckwards... he has fished French a lot. He might be willing to share some places. He lurks but won't post.
