Taxidermist
Did taxidermy shops used to look like this back in the 'good ol' days.' ? Na, they didn't. I remember my trips in the late 80's and early 90's. 2, 3, 4, 5 bucks. I remember taking my first to get mounted. There were 3 other bucks there and I shot it the last day of rifle. 35 bucks scattered around the garage here. I know a few of the SC PA taxidermist. They are staying busy.
My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

Did taxidermy shops used to look like this back in the 'good ol' days.' ? Naw--they looked more like taxidermy shops than a garage full of junk that needs a good cleaning.

No, his shop is in a separate room. That's where the skinning occurs.

I went into Zimmerman's taxedermy in Martinsburg last year. I've never seen such a good taxedermy display. My uncle got a nice buck mounted there a few years ago. It seemed to take forever, but it turned out as well as any i've ever seen. Pretty expensive though....

Zim is one of the best in the world. I'm surprised he actually took a whitetail. He wouldn't take my stripper from a few years ago. The exotics bring in the big $$$$ for him.

After seeing the displays he has there, I would agree, he is one of the best in the world. As far as him taking a whitetail, this was an especially good one . Jon, you should be carefull trying to mount strippers.... especially since you're married now.
