Definitely. Tried them yesterday. The Chartruse one nailed at least 10 hookups.

Thank you. They are 1/32. I will be tying a variation of colors and bodies with different color and size heads. Just wanted to make sure they worked first. The ones with the body were what I got most of my hits on yesterday.

Anytime you need someone to "Test" them out for you, just give me a ring. I like to test out a variety of colors, and please send several or each color....

Ha. It's half the fun tying them yourself. I tied 50 in 2 days for when I wasn't busy over Thanksgiving. They don't take a lot of time.

I am assuming that one would still need to add splitshot to one of these jigs in order to get some depth?

Yes, but above the jig at least 8"-12". More than one if needed. Yesterday I used 6 or more sometimes (especially when using bb size). I will be tying them to order in the future.

Whatsajob614 if you dont go to larger than 1/32 size jig have you considered using lead wire to make your jigs heavier?? the lead wire will definately help you get the depth you want without using lots of shot. I guess the downside using lead wire is that it adds alot of bulk to the body and if thats not what your looking for then this was only a suggestion for you to consider. Nice ties by the way. they should work good.

Ha mx. I don't care that much to try and find that recipe. Mine work just fine. Thanks for the idea deetz. I will try that. It can't hurt. I usually like to keep the bodies as small as possible because when it is low and clear, I only use 1 or 2 bbs. But, I am always down to try new things.

I'VE TYED SOME OF MINE AS HEAVY AS 1/8 OZ. THEY WORK WELL IN HIGH , STAINED WATERS AND AT NIGHT. i THINK IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH A BIGGER SILOUTE?. BEAD BODIES WORK WELL ALSO,

ORIGINAL: TJBKR01 I am assuming that one would still need to add splitshot to one of these jigs in order to get some depth? There shouldn't be any needed for added splitshot with 1/32 ounce heads. Maybe if the water was really ripping and high, but not really.

Instead of any shot just use heavier jigheads. I use 1/16 most of the time except in really low water. I also use bucktail instead of marabou on heavier heads. Has a slower drop rate. May not have the breathability of marabou but with flash works just as good. Any added shot or lead wire detracts from the action of the jig.
