Pop still got it.
I got a call today from my dad. He's hunting out west and he bagged a muley doe. He took a shot at 300 yds. and connected. He paced it off and had three witnesses who were hunting close by. Doe is over 200 lbs. ( a thank you to those guys for helping my dad!)
Not bad for a guy pushing 80, shooting off-hand. He's still a hell of a shot. Glad he's able to do it. Wish I was there....
OVER THE HILL Some people are like slinky's; not really good for anything, but, they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs...

I watched my dad shoot a buck that was running across a strip cut - out of the air - as it jumped a ditch...he knew to wait till then...
I had already unloaded... :>) .....I was 13

I love to watch the old timers shoot. No fancy benches or sticks....all true marksmanship. Good for him!
I don't always snag fish, but when I do... I choose Little Cleos I'm the best looking smartest snagging poacher alive...

BTW: He shoots a pre-64 model 70, 300 win. mag. That gun is one smooth shooter. Pop describes it as a push recoil compared to the sharp jab of other rifles. I shot it and honestly, it shoots better than my '06.
