I was told they put adults from the dam to Reber's and then fingerlings from Rebers to the covered bridge.

It was posted on TCO's website so take it for what it is worth..

2B- How did the flow look?  I have been thinking about a Tully outing soon, its been a while.

Confusion will be my epitaph, as I walk a cracked and broken path.

It looked on the low side...........clear........

they did draw down the lake........guessing they cut back the flow...........

surprised at what was done at the top of Swiftwater lane.........now anyone can fish that area.......not such a tough hike anymore............paved parking lot...........and a new trail that leads to the creek--sort of paved, but with tan stone and or dirt

fished by tully house with flies............nada.........where is the water???
moved to Swiftwater with spinning rod..........even less water.........not a follow, or a bump, or a live trout seen........walked from the island split up to waterworks...........I did see about 20 or so dead rainbows......cookie cutter 12 inchers.............saw lots of suckers..........4-6inch range............

guys were all over the creek in the morning...........

PS....new paved area does not run to the creek............you have to figure out how to access the creek from the path.........don't miss the drop down early on or you will have to climb over the fence with your $$$ waders on !!!!!

Tully is a deadzone.  Fished today from just below the dam down to the overpass.  Saw plenty of trout but they were all belly up on the bottom.  Whatever happened did not seem to effect the chubs or the suckers.  They were plentiful and quite active.  More to follow from Tippy.

Yea, we should have listened to 2Bon...I Think it must be low DO water comming out of the dam. The stocking seems to be a total loss, the only two live trout I saw died in front of me...what a shame. I called the PAFBC and left them a message, but I'm sure they know about it by now.

Stay clear of the Tully until they figure out whats wrong and hit it with fish again...

I am depressed.  The Tully is(was) the best fishing in south eastern Pa in my opinion.

I guess we'll have to go north, the Supper Uncle Kevin and Tippy, what do you guys think?

This is from the TCO Fly Shop's stream report...

"The Rumors of a fish kill on the Tulpehocken are true. At this point its not clear what is causing the problem. We have contacted Mike Kaufman (PA State Biologist)... he is on the case! It's also unclear how severe the die-off is. Most fisherman are seeing at least a few dead trout at any particular spot. Once we know more about this problem, I'll be sure to post it. "

any of you guys fish Pohopoco Creek???  Almost made the ride there last week, but opted for the Little Schuylkill River instead.........the manatawny Creek usually fishes well through november, barring a cold snap.............it was stocked in October........only certain sections though...........most of the Class A streams around have fished well so far into November...........and on a warm day--these little gems are awesome to fish with big bushy dry flies...........and dropping a size 16 Beadhead pheasant tail or hares ear doesn't hurt much either

Never fished any of those creeks...I'll have to look them up...

Hope they figure out what happened on the Tully..... "unclear how severe the die off is" I think it was a total loss. I mean you might see only 100 dead fish but thats because the birds are picking the dead one off every day. I'll bet a thousand died...

    2B;
Is the Pohopoco what feeds the Beltzville Dam?  If so I have fished it a long time ago.  the others I have not fished.

Confusion will be my epitaph, as I walk a cracked and broken path.

yep it is.........read the area below the dam is accessable but is only a short area to fish.........upstream of beltzville I read most of it is private............article said in the fall big lehigh fish enter pohopoco...............long ride for a recon mission...............

the others are very good trout streams..........which I would hold higher in reguard than the Tully........I am not a big fan of the tully.........too many problems.........and tired of reading how great of a tailwater fishery it is...best on the east coast........I like my fishing to be scenic........little schuylkill is very scenic.............manatawny is also pretty scenic in spots..............there is a fly shop on the banks of the little schuylkill...........that is the start of the delayed harvest water............worth a trip
