Cool Post Mike.....My boys are 5 and 3 right now and my daughter 11..the boys and beg me to take them out in the woods hunting and on the water fishing....It breaks my heart to say No half the time, but I do try to include them on many trips that are geared JUST for them.  Just a word of caution, when you do start taking your kids out there fishing, try to focus on them and let them have the fun for the day.  If you knew me, you'd know that anytime I get close to water, my passion kicks in and I feel the NEED to fish....Hold back that desire for those kids to make their experience a positive one.  You don't want them to be frustrated so focus all your time on them when you take them fishing!  Even consider leaving your rod at home!  Oh yeah, and when they start getting bored, its time to go home!!  Heres some pics of my fisherkids...

Very nice pixs guys! A long time ago I took some neat pixs of my daughter tossing a bobber in a tree.
Priceless!

Trout Run is definately a great place to take the kids! I take my kids there often, since it's right down the road. And I agree with the comments about the state of PA & the Fish Commision, but I just want to thank the guys from 3CU too. Without their volunteer hours, and work, this fishery may not be possible.
