My first would have to be Alaska. Second is South America for those huge browns. I see Larry Dalberg fishing every where in the world. I would also like to go after Golden Dorado also.

Wow, I'm a little surprised that not to many people have mentioned picking up bonefish in the tropics? What about fly fishing for peacocks in the amazon? Those two would definitely be near the top of the list for me.

Bahamas/Florida Keys for bonefish/tarpon
Amazon for peacocks
BC for chrome
Tierra del Fuego (Argentina) for sea run browns

**** Anyone that wants to make that trip to Alaska a reality, visit www.AlagnakLodge.com . Located in southwest Alaska, with a run of all 5 species of salmon. Also note there are fly outs into EXTREMELY remote streams for those monster bows/grayling/and dolly's, on literally untouched waters. PM me with any other info you would like to hear about.

I finally got a chance to fish for bones this summer off South Bimini.  Tons of bones, including some real monsters.

I'm surprised to say I wasn't that impressed.  Perhaps it was because it was the heat of summer, the water was warm, and the fish weren't at their best?

I think I were going to fish saltwater flats, I'd definitely stick with tarpon on the fly (or even big snook).

Blue crab?

I absolutely love pulling pots for blue crab. Its basically a thing I have to do when I am at the ocean. I have 8 pots and thats not enought , im trying to get about 200 and a place to store them. The thrill of not knowing how many crabs will be in the pot is an adrenaline rush. Thats basically why I love it.

Hmmmmmm.  OK.   I thought you meant crabbing off piers.  I've done that
in the Chesapeake with lines and traps. Great eating, but about as exciting as watching paint dry. But, to each his own.

Kamchatka, Russia - float trip, mouse patterns to giant rainbows<--- I saw that on TV, they were using dead grinnies, it looked awesome.  I would say that is #1 on my list, followed by some alaska fly fishing, and as far as blue crabs go...mmmmmmmm!

Interesting choices people, I'm glad everbody is enjoying this thread.

I missed a few on my 1st post, so here are a few more of my top choices:

Giant lakers in Great Bear lake or Great Slave lake, they get huge in there !!!!
Quebec for them giant brookies
Mako shark fishing(west coast)
Blue shark fishing on the fly
Goliath Grouper in Fla.
And finally, somewhere where all they stock is paliminos, maybe I'd finally get another one, my 1st and only was in 1982.

Gentlemen,
I think I just had my dream trip.  I got to spend three days up on the tribs and I fished with some good old friends, met some new friends and watched my grandson fish like mad and enjoy every second of the trip.  For three days he never once picked up a nintendo or whinned about the computer.  And he carried himself like a young gentleman should.  He proved to me he is a good fisherman and that he has learned well.
NOW I want to take him to the Artic Circle for char, or brookies, or to Alaska for the salmonoid fishing.

*  across-the-pond or Cape Breton for Atlantics with some great fiddle music each night

*  Dolly Varden - probably Alaska

*  can't narrow it down:  some large wild trout or char in a remote location with moving water, and a warm camp fire
