NEED A RELEASE

I got a old release that i had for years the velcor on it is not sticking no more.I'm scared that one day it's going to fly off my wrist at the wrong time.I now i should of thought of this months ago.I was wondering what kind would be  good i think the one i got now is a zero gap or something like that it's pretty old.I have been looking at the tru ball releases i go by price the more expensive the better.I need some input on what to buy money isn't really a object.

Mongoose($60) or the smaller baby mongoose are good if you have a string loop. Tru-fire black ball releases are good(I think 25 bucks or so), I still have an old one from like 15 years ago and it still works. Do you have a loop or just regular string?

Cant beat Scott, well worth the money.  I like the Little Goose.

The Lord has blessed us all today... It's just that he has been particularly good to me.

Chicken it is only a few bucks to have one put on. It decreases the main string wear and nock pinching from what I hear. Plus if it wears out in 5 years it is only a couple more bucks. But the main reason to have one is to eliminate pressure put on the nock area resulting in arrows that may tail one way as it is released.

Chicken; I been using a true fire for years, well bought in 2001 no loop and never had a pinching problem or tailing flight of the arrow that Golby is talking about. But every few years i have a new severing put on. And adding a loop will lengthen your draw a little. You could have your bow readjusted or maybe be able to adjust with how tight you have your release on. Turefire releases are fairly cheap but they seem to last. I clean the velcro every year with a tooth pick or fork and stlill sticky as it gets.  GOOD LUCK AND SHOOT STRAIGHT

I shoot a scott.  I think the plain black one, cheapest they make.  Don't remember the name.

My reports and advice are for everyone to enjoy, not just the paying customers.

I shoot a scott mongoose. I've had it 5 years, and it works just as well today as it did the day I got it.
