Sticks

Having fished the loomis series, Raven series, the sage float rod and a few others including a custom or two, I know what works best for me in the NW fishing from the boat on most of our river systems. The 13' high modules graphite is the best all around stick for the NW. Whether fishing from the bank or the boat. For the money I feel that the Raven rods are the stick or choice. I fish the waters of Oregon, Washington, British Columbia and Alaska. Rods from 11' all the way to 15' work but the 13' seems to be the one. What sticks are your choices and what systems are you fishing? The target species up here is Steelhead.

I like the wild river st. croix in the 11.5.  I bought a sheffield in a 13' 4" in last year and its not to bad of a rod.  I like the st. croix more, just wish they made it in a 3 piece for easier transportation and i would've never thought twice about what to buy.  Fish mainly the lake erie tribs in pa, and maybe one trip a year to lake ontario for browns and steelhead.

i personally think the loomis mx str1802 15fter is my fav rod to fish .. tons of power for a blank rated 4-8lb... as for a 13ft stick i really like my rainshadows 6-10lb rating

I fish a 13 ft stick wild river and love it. Seems the longer the rod the better for pinning. I could never go back to using a smaller stick i have a few times when need be and i hated it.  just my two cents.

Quit ****ing and take a kid fishing !!

i have a 13 ft wild river and love it as well, although in my opinion might be a little big for some of the water in erie, but i still use it.  i also have an 11 6 wild river and bring it out a couple times a year
