Ashtabula, Ohio

Anyone have a boat big enough can head out 10 miles and slay the walleyes there. The school is so thick, anything you put in front of them will work. My boat is to small to go out that far or i'd spend a whole week up there. 71ft water, down deep.

I was out of Ashtabula today on one of the boats behind you Chauncy, a 30ft Chris Craft named the "LEEsurely" or something like that.  We got 36 fish in about 3 1/2 hours.  I am headed back up at 5:30am to fish with buddies who got 24 in an hour and twenty minutes today!  This weather is beautiful!  Tight lines all.

It sure was rough going out and coming back today!  We got slammed!  Only made one troll east and picked up 14 one of which was lost at the boat.  Didn't have the time or desire to turn and make a 2nd run back through the good numbers.  Ended the morning at 9:45am after about 3 hours of rough fishing 5 fish shy of a full ticket for the 3 of us.  Took well over an hour to run 12 miles coming off!

I know what you went thru. One day last month, we were 5 fish short of a 4 man limit and decided those 6 foot waves pushing us were just to much to fish in. Took over an hour to get back in from about 12 miles out. That lake is a real mean mother.

I know. I haven't been able to get my 16.6ft boat out to troll for eyes but 1 time this summer. Lake just wont lay down to a comfortable level.
