Good question.  I wondered about that myself.  It seems like a good idea.  The key is, staying warm and at the moment of truth, sliding out of the suit and being able to shoot your bow wearing basically the sweatshirt you wore all year while practicing.  Anyone can bundle up and stay warm with tons of bulky clothing.  Try shooting accurately in a parka.

I posted this same question on another website and most of the responses I got were about guys being able to stay warm with the clothing they had, or with those chemical hand warmers.  In other words, the posters missed the point.  I hope your query does better on this site.

I can tell you this, the suits are EXPENSIVE.  Like, over 300 dollars.  That's probably why you cant find many reviews, few can afford one.

They seem to be for the all day stand hunter, just might have to try 1 and test it out on a nice cold November bowhunt.

If you do, post on here about how it works.  I cant see myself spending that kind of money on one, but, who knows?

I'll probably end up getting my dad 1 for his birthday and see how he likes it.

I got one for Christmas last year. I've worn it out a few days this archery season and wow. They are not kidding that you will stay warm. It keeps you so warm its a struggle to stay awake at times. lol The very first day of archery when it was very cold and raining i took it out and went with a buddy of mine. By lunch time I had saw 6 and had gotten out of the suit without any of the deer detecting me 3 times. I was warm when I opened it and got the bow. My buddy on the other hand had radioed me saying he was going to head in because he though he would catch pnamonia and he was so cold and wet he couldn't even draw back his bow. I didn't even come close to having a single time of being cold when I was out with it. I suppose that rifle will be the real test but I don't see it changing anything. I give it a 9 out of 10. The lack of one point is do to the fact that it is bulky and takes up alot of space inthe treestant. All the times that I wore it I was in my ladder stand or on the ground. Not sure how much I would trust it with my little climber. Also wore it in inline season on the only day I had to go out. Was hunting on the ground and had 2 button bucks come within 15 yards of me and never even knew I was there. There is also an added bonus that they have found. If you wear scent control clothing underneath the suit it is supposed to help to further eliminate any scent that may make it through. I've been begging for this thing for 8 years and its been well worth the wait. I love mine.

Occasionally they have sales on the site if you check it frequently where they lower the price down to 299.99 with free shipping. Its still expensive though.

Hardcore i was looking into these heater body suits. You would still have to warm a sweater and a parka when it's below 25.Not my theory it states  right on there web site what to wear for different temps.I probably just buy him the wool power 400 from cabelas it's 250 for the whole outfit an it got high reviews.I order a set but it's on back order for 2 to 3 weeks.

When it's like 30 and I could be wearing just a sweater under the suit, that would be great.

That's true, but if you carry the suit, you wont get sweaty walking in to your stand.  Or maybe you will if you are bogged down with enough stuff to go on an extended arctic expedition.  I feel ya, I'm always trying to pare down, but you never know when you'll need that 4th call or the backup flashlight.

I can see it being nice in gun season. as for bow hunting i cant see a purpuse for it being in the tree it just seems to bulky and everyone knows something can happen too quick in bow season to be trying to slide outta a suit..And in western pa it really never gets that absolute cold to me where i'm saying im leaving i've had enough..now if it was about 15 degrees all the time in the stand i might look for something like this..but our bowseason i think the coldest days were in the 30s? thats not really cold to justify a suit to me..

Its very light to carry. Also you can change the length of the straps you use to carry it. I have mine hanging down around my butt and can carry my regular backpack above where it hangs. When I've gone out I've had my underarmor cold gear camo on, my regualr camo pants, and a light coat on my way up. I have another long sleeve camo shirt I put on when I get in stand. That has kept me very warm inside the suit. That was all in the 35-45 degree range. I wish I'd have taken my suit with me to the pennstate game last saturday, 21 degrees wasn't fun. I froze there and missed it greatly.Would have been a good test as that was the coldest temp i've been out in this year. But from what i'm seeing the first few days the highs will be 38, 40, and 38. I have no doubt I'll be warm.
