All,
I talked with Bobby Hetz tonight, The Bear Run hatchery received quite a bit of damage because of the Tuesday Storm.
There will be a work party tomorrow at the 3CU Bear Run Hatchery. The work party is meeting at 9:30 am at Creamland Ice cream shop on the south side of US Route 20 (West Ridge Road [26th Street]) in Fairview Twp, the shop is located just west of Tri State Business School.

The work will be to round up and stack the covers. The race way is full of stream debris and will need to be removed via an excavator. An other work party might be necessary when the excavator does it's work.
Thankfully the race way did Not Have any fish in it at the time.

Unfortunately the raceways on Middle Road did not fair as well as one of the raceways lost @half Of the Steelhead the PSA feed this winter. Bob said the Mission raceway was saved but it took a lot of work yesterday and yesterday night.

The Lamson Run project held up very well and received no damage.

Please remember to support 3CU with their annual buttons.
The Pennsylvania Steelhead Association At our annual Fall Run Banquet at Shades Beach September 26th.
Gem City Fly Tiers and the Annual Gift Baskets.
NWTU trout in the classroom.
For these groups provide a great deal of support and behind the scene work for the Steelhead program in Pennsylvania. Your support is encouraged and really appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris Niebauer
PSA President

If you are planning to be on Lake Erie keep your eyes open around 4 mile creek, there was a heck of a lot of debris (trees) pumped out into the lake during the storm.
