Just wondering if anyone has seen any trout on the some of the Connoquessing tributaries around Butler? A buddy of mine has a stream that flows in the creek and was wondering if he could make it deeper, then stock it with Rainbows. Personally, I thought it was a good idea. Many of the lakes around here are being threatened to be drained so we thought this would be a good summer project. In regards to the water it's (surprisingly!) very cold, and yet its late Summer and not flowing very well. Also anyone know of a good place to get some fish? Thanks.

Little Connoq,has trout. Get a Gazateer map,with that and the fish comm. web sight you can find fish anywhere in the state.If you can find the scout camp,ther is great fishing any direction on the stream.

Used to catch brookies just up from the bridge in Ellport on J7 Raps. Only happened twice about 5 years ago in April while fishing for smallies.
