Over the past year, i've shot the new pse x-force, the diamond black ice, the mathews dxt & switchback, and a few others I can't think of right now. They were all sweet shooters, but out of all of them, the pse x force was by far the fastest, and it was just as smooth as the others. I think a lot of people are still overlooking pse. On the other hand, there are plenty of good bows out there that don't cost $700 or more. My bowtech is now on it's third year, cost me a little over $500, and shoots just as well as any other bow i've ever shot. I'm not all that convinced $700-800 dollars is worth it for a bow that I will probably replace after 3 years anyway. Don't buy a bow just for the name on it. Several years ago, I would have said Mathews are the best, period. That's no longer true, as most companies make top notch bows. It's not that Mathews has been slacking, it's that other companies have done their homework.
