i understood it. never offended by anyone here. solid views, not always agreed on, but solid. someday, i will convince everyone to become a progressive hippie...lol.

(the middle class of yesterday is the working class of today)----Not necessarly---many of them worked hard and smart and became millionaires. In fact 9 percent of U.S. citizens are either millionaires or billionaires. The rest of us are good fishermen.

s-10,good point,,these millionares were middle and lower class,they went out and TOOK THE CHANCEon life and made it,,same as anyone can do if they want it bad enuff,,but it is to easy to have govt do the work for them thru handouts,,, my grandfather was born in 1894,lived till 1997,killed in car wreck with my grandmother, he always told us about the great depression,and also pointed out,that people make big deal about how much things cost today,,he said like ,i remember for a nickle you could do this ,for a dime you could do that,but what he also said was people dont think before they comment like that,cause that nickle was 8 hrs work or that dime was a days work,,so compare currency and things arent no worse today than they were 90 yrs ago, he would always warn of our govt taking control,which hw probably looking down now laughing saying told ya so young lad,,he said all time,the welfare program from the dems was the tearing down of our society,making healthy americans lazy and dependent on a govt that doesnt care for anyone but what they can get from your paycheck,, he also woulds state americans today can never have it rough like the golden era of the 20th century, back then you didnt run to store for milk,bread, not even cigs ,roll your own, you didnt run to a dept store for clothes,mom and daughters made them,,, he ritired from the coal mines in the 60's,never asked no one for nothing,went to work at a forge afterwardstill he was 74 yrs old, and would tell me his social security check he recieved ,he didnt earn that much to get it as long as he did,he was living off other peoples payroll taxes, now i listen to all you whiners on here about how bad our economy is, lets live in the shoes of someone like my grandfather who could tell you first hand what it is to struggle, there was no hand outs then, just pure desire to make a living on their own , not like today where everyone wants things handed to them,,

uh, there are still a ton of us out there who just want to make a living. fact is i don't know anyone who want everything handed to them.

now i listen to all you whiners on here about how bad our economy is, lets live in the shoes of someone like my grandfather who could tell you first hand what it is to struggle, there was no hand outs then, just pure desire to make a living on their own , not like today where everyone wants things handed to them,,

I work hard everyday, all day. As many as us have. To call us whiners is bullsh!t. Been on my own since I was 19, never took a handout. Worked 2 jobs for 14 years, did side jobs when ever I could. I dont want things handed to me, I just dont want my hard earned money taken away,I dont want my insurance or pension taken away, and that is because I am an american, not a whiner.

same here johnny. when laid off, i worked minimum wage jobs instead of collecting. have never been on workmens comp or sick leave. worked with busted bones, illness and the like. and because i want to help my fellow man, i am a whiner. i am not a whiner, i am done.........you won, rock

i dont want to win,, hey we all work hard, i know i do 7 days a week,, but here is my point jonjon and rap,, why then would you put your paycheck into the hands of someone that came out and said he is going to raise your taxes, increase govt spending by a trillion dollars a yr., take more of your hard earned money and give it to someone that wont help themselves, wants to put 90 billion/yr into this global /un tax, i am not against one of you, i hate to see people so eager to give up their security of life and their freedoms so easily to a person that can give a good speech but has no substance in thatspeech, if anyone of you guys came to me for help i would be there and dont even know you, but not thru the hands of govt,

You are an american. I know im a little confrontational, all I want is for people like us that has worked hard all of our lives to keep what we have earned. If someone come on your property to harm you , you should kill them. But if your Rock you would not want the cops there because then there would be some sort of Gov. interfearance and it might be in the paper wich might have a liberal spin to it ect, ect, ect. Morons and whiners rock says, it must be true.

jonjon,that remark was a little cold,,i believe in the right to shoot anybody who came on my property to do harm, but see jon jon ,the cops would come for me cause i defended myself,ah i probably would get off but i would have to go thru the system ,prove it was self defense, look like i was the criminal, alot of costs for attornys, which it should have been done and over with when police arrived and seen intruder, shouldnt have to prove my innocents, they have to prove im guilty

How do they know that person was not just a friend you decided to kill. Once in a while stupid things happen but for the most part if you kill or shoot someone, you will and should have to answer some questions, make a report. My best friends brother lives in VA a meth head started banging on his door violently at 4 am with his wife and kid home. He has his 44 at his side. He went out the back and snuck up on the meth head. He saw he was unarmed so he put his gun in the bush and took the man down(vinny is a big dude) He held him down and called 911. When the cops came and took the drug addict in they told my friend that they would have shot him through the door. In fact the cops said thats what should of happend. They were suprized he did not kill or shoot . Sometimes cops make mistakes too. If your a law abiding citizens most cases you will be fine.

But does that happen enough to change the system . Im sure 8 times out of 10 you do not have to defend yourself. Florida has the same rules(not in the cities). You can shoot someone just for being on your property, armed or unarmed. Case in point that old man last year that shot 2 black men for robing his friends house. The 911 operator pleaded with the man not to shoot. The black guys were leaving, and not even on his property. I thought it was great,but i find weird sh!t funny. I just dont think people get harrased enough to really have a debate about it.
