Swimup sure is might be outta my mind but only i know where the material came from. Plus It's all most impossible to get the material unless you have a friend from Colorado. He's a guide friend of mine that turned me on to the material.

A real good emerald shiner pattern is:

red yarn at the bend of the hook.
silver bead right above yarn
white deer hair, flash and dark green pseudo hair stack on top of each other
whip finish

anadromous -> RE: Help with emerald shiner patterns (8/5/2008 12:26:54 PM)

silver wrap tinsel on shank.
white marabou with krystal flash strands.( I think the krystal flash make this pattern go...)
Stack on black marabou then emarald green dyed bucktail along with light blue bucktail on the back .Whip head with red thread. I like them on a 2x #12 egg hook...not exactly protocal but it works for me. I like to tie it really small to better imitate the actual size present in the late fall.

3-Way,

The locals call this pattern a Pfendler minnow. There is nothing any better.
