imo, there is no difference between a home boy thumping 50 cent and a dude wearing buttless chaps revving his hog to full throttle.  those exhaust pipes are a little bit over the top, arent they?   noise pollution can take any form. its not a black vs white thing, its a quality of life thing FOR EVERYONE. i just wish they would crack down on the bikes as much as they do the rap.

Status: offline 		aparently salty you dont know much about bikes, ;loud pipes are for idiots who make comments like you and others , no excuse not to see a bike when headlights are on, pipes stop a lot of unnecassary accidents due to autos not paying attention, noise pollution is just something, ones like you, to complain about,,, i heard many loud pipes and never was not able to talk to someone beside me, or woke me up out of a deep sleep, as far as leather, saves many burns and bruises if you do go down, plus leather is a lot better dress for a bike than these multi-colored spandex tights bicyclists wear, those are the ones that look like going to the YMCA.

Status: offline 		so we needn't signs to remind people to be wary of motorcylcles? why do we need signs that tell you;
1. rumble strips ahead
2. turn on light while driving in a work area
3. "S" curves ahead etc.
it's an awareness that i feel needs to be addressed with more motorcycles on the road.

maybe if they don't make cars so quiet inside they'd be able to hear our bikes no matter what pipes we have on as well as the sirens on emergency vehicle!! how many times i've pulled to the side when i hear a siren and see the emergency vehicle while the rolled up window drivers become a menace to the emergency vehic. becase they can't hear them??

for those of you that want to know why we wear leathers, go sit in on a motorcycle safety course!! geez, all those cycle cops are fags??

we wear ear plugs not because of the pipe noise, goofy, the wind noise across the ear can effect your ear drum and cause hearing loss and impair hearing temperarily, especially on long rides.

rockhead, who said anyhting about leather? i know i didnt. i said buttless chaps.  didnt that guy from the village people wear buttless chaps?  you want to talk about how funny people dress, there is nothioig funnier than a three hundred pound dude (in buttless chaps i might add), leather vest, leather hat, leather gloves with thte fingers cut off, white t shirt with a huge greek sauce stain in front and mirror avaitor sunglasses.  oh yeah, a big fat motorcycle mama hanging off the back smoking a square.  classic scene straight out of white trash america (which i am sure you know quite well).  they only people that should be permitted to wear leather are rock superstars and chicks (only hot ones).  big fat white trash pieces of garbage and leather pants should never be in the same sentance.

rockhead,you are right. i do know nothing about bikes. but, i do know that when more "idiots" like me "complain" about noise pollution something will be done.

rockhead, you want me to believe that loud pipes save lives. i am calling you out on that one as pure bullcrap. 
a long time ago, a guy figured out that if he made his bikes LOUDER, he would sell more bikes.  you were force fed that crap about saving lives, and being the sheep that you are, you believed it.  bahhhhhhhhhh, bahhhhhhhhhh

Status: offline 		Salt, pay no mind to "rockhead"(funny). Pipes do warn motorist that they are in the area even though they were not made loud for that reason. All you have to do is be carefull. The noise wont kill you,annoy maybe. YMCA gear is funny,gay, but funny. If you dont like bikes , dont ride. If you dont like getting annoyed, dont argue with rock, It will make ya crazy.

this actually happened to my girlfriend. after about 10hrs of riding back from VA. beach. we got home and she said i sounded like mickey mouse when i talked. to make a long story short she went to the doctors and he told her that the high altitude along with the air blowing across her ears stretched her ear drum. it caused sound to vibrate the ear drum causing high pitch. it took about 4-5 days to get her hearing back to normal.

So statistics CAN be trusted. Oh that's right onlyn they support YOUR position.




statistics are a mass of numerical data. FACTS of an event or procedure that have been calculated from FACTS. they are not some left wing ASSumption or liberal accusation. it's not some media poll taken by a broadcast station that caters to liberals or the like that they will be the majority who will respond, or for that matter a right wing broadcast station that their viewers are mostly conservatives. it's not some political agenda that tries to convince people that the sky is falling and we are the cause because some scientists say that the earth was a certain degrees so many billions of years ago when acurate temp. weren't being recorded for only a few thousand years. they can't even be accurate what the temp. or weather is going to be in three days! 

it's ashame that you are compelled to turn a post for discussion, that has nothing to do with anyones political agenda, into the political arena because you disagree with the persons political beliefs!

I don't have a bike, but I know if I ever did I'd certainly be more cautious and aware of everything than I would if I were driving my car. That's just the way it is.   I don't think anyone would argue against the fact that the majority of car/bike collisions are caused by the car drivers lack of awareness either, but they aren't all the cars fault.  The more bikes that ride around without caution and do things like you posted above, the more accidents there will be that are caused by the bikes.  What does your actions above do to help anything, other than put yourself at danger?

Status: online 		I was in Whitehall a few years ago and someone cut me off and I ended up making a little detour through someones yard.

I caught back up to the car and started kicking the drivers door.

About 3 dents later I realized it was an air headed bimbo that I went out with a few times.

All she said was "WHY DID YOU KICK MY DOOR"

I just drove away-but did end up seeing her later that night at a club

She kinda made up for it later!

Guess we were both lucky that I didn't throw a wrench through her window.

Status: offline 		meeting automobiles at red lights and stop signs, kicking doors in while on a bike...sounds like "Every Which Way But Loose" was on this weekend. one "right turn Clyde" and 1 small flick of the steering wheel to the right or left and the bike and biker are being used for traction.

That was a completely stupid thing to say, at least 3 bikers killed in the last four days in Allegheny County, none of the involving another automobile, but rather, driving to fast for conditions.

Status: offline 		well scottie,but if i am in passing lane doing speed limit, why you braking the law by passing at a faster than posted speed, better read your manual. tell you what salty, you cut me off, and i get back in front, and ride to my liking, you have no reason to do anything, you ride my ass also , better do it good, cause rear ended a vehicle in front of you will cost you not me, thats the problem on road, if i want to cruise on any given highway or road,what gives the auto more right to ride my ass,

Status: offline 		Do you really feel and behave the way you claim?  You seem to be looking to make yourself a statistic, either by vehicle or messing with the wrong individual...  By the way, you do not have the right to cruise in the left lane without passing traffic.  That is a ticketable offense in almost every state, including PA.  Also, hands down the biggest idiots on the road are motorcyclists.  I cannot begin to count how many shleprocks I see cruising down the highways at 90+ miles an hour on the dotted lines between cars, down the shoulders, passing in no-passing lanes, or riding wheelies down the parkway at full speed.  Like every group, there are bad apples and good but the motorcycle basket seems to have more bad ones than most.  As for helmets, that should not be a personal choice.  You are endangering me everytime you ride without a helmet.  What happens when a stone or junebug comes back from another vehicle and strikes you in the face at 65 mph.  I can tell you... you are about come off of your bike, meeting the blacktop and you have immediately endangered everyone around you. I am aware of motorcyclists, not because I don't trust my driving ability, but because I don't trust the two wheel yahoos who do not understand/choose to follow proper road rules.

Status: offline 		these bikes you mention griff are ZOOM AND SPLATS, 25yrs and younger,, i can garauntee you anyone on a cruiser does not behalve in that manner,,helmets are a personnel choice,in most states, my wreck,helmet didnt protect my 2 arms ,one leg and broken nose from happening ,same law applies to autos also griff,left lane for passing,not for some idiot in a auto to just fly around everyone he comes to,,, my experiance,everyday i travel ,I 70 AND 79 FOR 75 MILES EACH WAY,cant even calculate how many auto idiots come up on my ass at high rates of speed, or cut me off,for one thing ,if i am doing speed limit,what gives a auto the right to pass, there isnt one,,he is being a pure inconsiderate bast---d and braking the law by speeding,,so dont preach to me what a passing lane is for,certainly not for speeding

Status: offline 		Rock, I will agree with you about what type of driver is generally responsible.  That was never a point of contention.  That said, I am guessing you are not LE.  If not, then you have no right to enforce traffic laws.  If you feel a law is broken bad enough, call the state police and let them handle it.  You are doing nothing but asking to become a statistic by trying to enforce laws (particularly on a motorcycle).  It is ironic that while trying to be Poncherello, you are breaking the law yourself...  If I were a betting man, I would say your broken bones were more a result of your behavior than the other motorist (even though he may have been found at fault).  Either way, you are lucky to be alive and should probably try a little more courtesy/safety on the road yourself (just pulling information from statements that you made).  You might look at the slogan at the bottom of your signature and do a little reflection.
