Gentlemen,
As much as I have enjoyed this back and forth about Obama; I'd like to put forth another preposition for consideration.  Thus:  When Obama was just another person running for ofice he MAY not have known all the ins/outs, treaties and obligations this country has.  I imagine few senators do! With the possible exception of Hillary, if she was listening for 8 years.  So as Obama became the possible president MAYBE, just MAYBE he has been  briefed on all the things we are treaty obligated to do and on some stuff that 99.9% of the rest of us don't have need to know.  And now he is changing his position because he knows that he can't sit down with N. Korea because of our treaties with S. Korea. And we can't stop our anti missle defense because we promised Israel and Japan that we would help defend thm (to name a few).
I respect the man for admitting he was incorrect. It's something few of us will ever do.

BTW:  My given name is Jack! Which is a device for lifting objects; and my German surname means either grave digger/ excavator, or in another spelling the deadly flu.  SO,  I guess that makes me a grave digging,  lifting device, that will kill you.

Oh Spoon,

"I'd rather be a John Smith, than a John Doe. They tend to be corpses"   I got a good laugh out of that....

I once had a friend named Jose Gonzales.  Imagine what he had to put up with...

heres the whole picture guys,, these posts are full of hate towards one man (bush),now we have a canidate that has a name associated with an enemy ,but for some reason we cant question his name,(its racist),cant question his loyalty(racist), cant question his associations(preacher ,ayers, flegar, church, etc),cause it is considered racist,,the major media and the dem party leader(reed) and pelosi, say it is nothing but racism if we question obama on his policies,, now this is a man running for the most powerful position on earth,,and we are supposed to just let him skate right in to that office, now mccain has had his service(military) thrown at him, his age, his ECONOMIC policies thrown at him, cause he isnt running on a liberal ticket,, oh yea, lets not forget this one,,he is just another 4 yrs of bush,, why is it we can attack one and not the other,,that my friends is racists, and its not coming from the right

rockhard, it's obvious that what you have just said is soo true, if only the left/liberals will open their eyes, minds and actualy look at things from an open perspective!!
if we can't question obama without him commenting and crying it is a racist thing, where will this lead us as a nation if he's in power? our freedom of speach is in jepardy if he is the leader. he'll have laws that will be a criminal offence if we speak out against him.imo!!
bush has been called every name in the book, accused of things he had no control of; hurricanes, starvations, floods ect, even been acused of causing 911. i haven't heard him cry about the accusation, the comical looking cartoons, the way they make him look a dimwitt. he believes in freedom of the press and free speach. i can't imagine what obama would do.

critique of a man's job performance is much different than critique of a man before he does the job.  in my case, both stink.
