Let us not forget that the good spots on the streams change from year to year. Holes fill in, different ones open up. My father, my buddy, and I have been pounding the tribs for a good while now, and the fishing is always changing. I am still learning. The best way to learn is to explore. Walk, walk, and more walking. You will run into fish everywhere you go. Flies that we pounded them on last season may not work at all this season. Maps are available on this site. I have recently discovered another tool: Google Earth. It is really neat. I think I actually spotted my truck on one of my forays on Google Earth. Bottom line is that you have to put the time in yourself, not rely on other fishermen. We all know that all fishermen are liars anyway, with the exception of Bughawk, maybe.  Fishmnonger

Thanks KJH - I am glad the next one is a year away - could not do what I did last night any sooner!

mack... stirring the pot again???

there was this thread
http://forums.fishusa.com/m_39689/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm

the first page has some good policy ideas...

Stirring the pot?  No, just keeping things honest.  I was afraid that some unsuspecting new poster may assume there was a policy against posting helpful information just because someone suggested it.

The post below requests information about how such a "policy" would be enforced.  It seems the answer is that it is enforced by characterizing posts that express a contrary viewpoint as "stirring the pot."

It's been awhile since I've been on here, but it doesn't seem like much has changed, same discussions/debates (nothing wrong with some healthy dialogue, I might add).  But this one stayed clean, no personal insults or out of line attacks.  Thanks for that everyone, makes it a lot easier to read!  Happy belated birthday Grendel, typing was ALMOST impeccable for your status!

This kind of conversation-fish running up elk creek, "december", steel-gets the blood flowing and the mind goin!  Can't wait for the Fall and Winter, fishing in Erie is still pretty darn fun!
