I was out there also. Boat traffic was light, but found many boaters who didn't know the rules. I was trolling in a no wake zone, trying to stay away from the waves. Apparently, not many people know what NO WAKE means. Anyways, fishing is picking up on the Mohawk. Caught a 42" pike in the no wake zone, and a 18" walleye below a lock. No pictures as I was fishing alone. May have to get a tripod. After thought: I saw three boys fishing from shore. Probably 8-10 years old. They had their lines out, and were lifting rocks looking for crawfish and such. I couldn't help but remember how much fun it was fishing as a kid. It was so simple, and it really didn't matter if we caught anything or not. These days, I have a decent fishing boat, at least 15 rod and reel combos, and every lure in every color and every size. These kids were probably envious of me, wishing they were on a boat. But little did they know, I was even more envious of them.
