What time you going to be there, I plan on fishing in the evening?  Are you going to fish?   I can help Gizmo pay too if he wants help with $$.  I think some of use should go in and help with $$.  My wife will still make something.

Dave , I,m launching at 7.30. Will be out from the launch on the south shore bass fishing or along 18. Will be in a Tracker with an old friend.
Plan on stopping after fishing.

Sorry, Yesterday when I ask if you were going fish I meant today.  You posted that you were going to stop at campground and reserve that spot for us.  I'm going to try and get out today around 5:30-6 this evening.

Just tell us what you,ll bring and noibody else will bring it. I,l post it so everyone will know. We,ll need plates, weeny,s, burgs, lobsters! lol.
What ever. It is to get together and have fun.
Did ok today. Hot!  5 bass and 1 eye.. still swimming . 16 in. Was a good day in all but dang wouldn,t it be nice if I was up front. With the trolling moter!Lol . Had to clarify that. He hugged the bank and gave me no room to fish. Still caught some nice fish. They are on the beds now . So please release them. Not in season till the 14th.

The pavillian is reserved for us. What I need to know , by Tuesday, who,s driving and how many people in your party. I,ll have passes to give you so that you do not have to pay a users fee of 3.00. It is by the launch at the camp grounds. The cost was 40.00, which I have paid . I,ll obtain more passes just to be sure to have enough.

John,  I will be bringing 4 of us.  My wife and kids will join me.  Do you want reimbursement when we arrive or would you rather have payment mailed to you.  Let me know one way or another.  Thanks for taking hold of this and organizing it.  FYI, I will be bringing a baked bean recipe.  If others want to bring beans that is fine, as mine will not likely be replicated unless other Syracusans are showing up...See ya there, Griffon

Caught a 21 inch walleye at Shenago Friday night 8/12

I lived in Syracuse for several years.  There is a restaurant/biker bar called the Dinosaur BBQ.  They are a memphis blues type joint that is a MUST VISIT if you ever get to Syracuse.  The food is phenomenal and the atmosphere unforgettable.  They sell a cookbook with all of their recipes (available online).  There is another in Rochester but it isn't the same.  Moving to Pittsburgh, the Dinosaur is one of the places I miss the most (along with Oneida Lake and the fabulous trout streams).

That would be a good idea. 

Just like I do for the KCA get together I'll get up 4am and make potato and/or macaroni salad, put in something like a wal-mart container and safety seal it and bring it.

Griff , lived in Rome for 2 years. Can not remember the creak , but caught too many walleyes to count.  Came out of Oneida Lake. Of course they where spawning and I didn,t keep them.

That is cool stuff...  Gizmos, My wife is from Horseheads (we got married there and her parents still live there) and I actually graduated from Waverly in '86.  I am sure we know some of the same people and have covered some of the same ground.  Mika, It could be any number of creeks, but I lived on the banks of the Chittenango less than 4 miles from the lake and we would hammer the walleyes there when they came in every year.  I also used to fish Fish Creek and the Erie Canal not far from Rome for species other than walleyes, but almost always seem to come away with several on the stringer as a bonus.  One thing for certain is that Oneida used to have the biggest Silver bass (whites) I had ever seen.  I would wade the Sylvan Shoreline at 4-7 am in the spring with a white tube and light them up.  Again, walleyes always seemed to get in the way and I just had to keep some of them...

Griffon, that is cool. I would have almost bet the farm that you would have repied "Horseheads????" You never know. I moved YEARS ago but until recently had made it back every once in a while for the annual neighborhood pig roast. Good times. [:D]
